I’m looking for a 20k potentiometer the numbers on the case are T0 3B20K 8805 unsure of the manufacture.
These are the requirements
Resistance 20k ohm, Shaft type flat, Shaft length 30 mm, Shaft diameter 6 mm, Bushing length 9.5 mm, audio or linear taper, Panel mount, single turn, three pin, side rotation, and PC mount terminals offset to 90°.
Welcome to the Technical Forum. I did not find anything with the requirements you list. This is a list doing the bare minimum like no mounting type:
Now if I did 25k I can get these options:
I did not narrow down by shaft size or options.
Sorry. It does not appear we sell exactly what you need. You can review the options to see if you can make something work.
Do you need a linear or logarithmic taper?
If this is audio volume it’s almost certainly logarithmic taper, otherwise it’s most likely linear.
You can check by measuring the resistance at 50% rotation, if it’s 10K it’s linear.
It was manufactured the fifth week of 1988 (EIA-476)
It is very unlikely you’ll find an electrically equivalent pot that also fits well mechanically. Often the best bet is to find a panel mount pot that works electrically and connect it via wires to the PCB.
the significant problems I’m having is the shaft length (30MM),style (flat), and construction materials of shaft and body they need to be metal.
Hello etp5110,
I’m sorry, but we do not have a match to your device. It appears the part originally was a top adjusted potentiometer, and the pins were bent for a side adjustment. You can see the board lock pins sticking out the back, which normally would go through the board.
