Adafruit trinket board 5vdc #1501, is there a 30 or 60 day period for returning these boards if defective and DigiKey will send me a return authorization shipping label to return the defective item or items

I am going to use this board for a robot. instead of using the kickstart attiny 85, I decided to try this board. Do you recommend not using this board

What are your robot requirements? 5V, 3V3 i/o? Do you need real USB access, WiFi/BLE etc?
One of the reasons this “design” is not recommend, it uses a custom software “USB” Bit manipulated stack that only works with USB 1.1.. At the time it was a very cool software “hack” adding USB to a device that doesn’t support USB. However for an end design, it’s just 100% reliable.

I use the usb connector for loading program, and modifing program . When board is running in robot it runs off of 5vdc separate supply. it runs as independant board and the output is used as a attach interrupt to a nano every board
I think something like: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/arduino/ABX00028/10239971 you’ll be much happier with.. It’s got full support in Arudino’s software and supports programming over USB. Docs: Arduino Nano Every – Compact, Affordable Microcontroller Board — Arduino Online Shop
