Atmel ice (avrdude)

we used atmel ice to program our atmel chip on our custom board
4 years later (now) we open up the program run the batch file and does not work

We had the engineer that designed our boards to come down and he could not get it to work and told us to buy a new atmel ice
We did it and it still does not work
We are in production and need help if there is anyone out there that can help please send us a post reply
Thanks, Don

can you share your batch command and the error message the batch program is showing?

Regards,

Thank you very much for taking the time to help

I have attached the batch file

Serialize.bat (531 Bytes)

couldn’t compute fast_cwd

The problem is we used this batch file to program hundreds of atmel chips

4 years later (now) I run the program and it doesn’t work

I did not update any of the software

The engineer that designed the boards came in and said there must be something wrong with the atmel ice so I got a new one from digi key and are still getting no results

You must be the famous Robert the tech support lady was talking about

Hi @donsll please retest with -v at the end of the avrdude.exe command:

"c:\Program Files (x86)\AVRDUDESS\avrdude.exe" -c atmelice_isp -p pwm316 -U flash:w:"C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Spectralinear-1.6.3.bin":r -U lfuse:w:0xA3:m -U hfuse:w:0xDE:m -U efuse:w:0x58:m
"c:\Program Files (x86)\AVRDUDESS\avrdude.exe" -c atmelice_isp -p pwm316 -U flash:w:"C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Spectralinear-1.6.3.bin":r -U lfuse:w:0xA3:m -U hfuse:w:0xDE:m -U efuse:w:0x58:m -v

and share with us the output of the *.bat file…

“did not find any matching devices” ???

It looks like your missing the usb filters for the new “usb” programmer…

usbaddress

The previous broken device, serial number was probably remembered by Windows.

Regards,

Robert

Again thank you very much for the help

How do we install the usb filter?

I’d expect a utility installed under:

c:\Program Files (x86)\AVRDUDESS\

Regards,

I think I have moved ahead a little
