Barrel Connector Adapters are used to convert from one barrel connector style to another in both free-hanging or panel mount versions. Examples include audio connectors with the same or opposite gender, MC1F, MC1M, phone jack mono or stereo 6.35 mm, 3.50 mm, phone plug mono or stereo 2.50 mm, 3.50 mm, 6.35 mm, RCA jack or plug, and 1.3 mm, 2.1 mm, and 2.5 mm ID connectors.
SelectionCharacteristics
Conversion Type: Indicates whether the adapter is used between the same or different series of parts.
Gender: Indicates whether the device is male or female in configuration.
Connector Style: An indication of the type of connection being used. Typically meets a standard.
Convert From (Adapter End): Type or style of connection being converted from.
Convert To (Adapter End): Type or style of connection being converted to.
Number of Positions/Contacts: The total number of electrical conductors the device has.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Mounting Feature: A modifying feature to how the device is being attached.
Shielding: Whether or not the device possesses an electrically insulating barrier that helps to reduce or eliminate electromagnetic interference.
Body Material: Indicates what the body of the device is made of.
Body Finish: Indicates the material that the body of the device is coated/plated with.
Insulation Color: The dominant color of the insulating part of the device.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as being insulated.
