Barrel power cables consist of free-hanging barrel connectors factory installed on compatible cables categorized by their compatibility with free hanging, board and panel mount mating connectors. Common configurations are jack to plug, plug to plug, jack to jack, and jack to wire leads with options for right angle styles and double connected ends.
SelectionCharacteristics
Connector Type: The connector standard or form factor the cable adheres to.
Style: Describes the gender or termination configuration of the cable, such as Jack to Plug, Plug to Plug, or Plug to Wire Leads. A number in parentheses, such as (2), indicates multiple terminations of that type on the denoted end of the cable.
Length: The length of the cable, not including the length of the connectors terminated on any of the cable’s ends.
Cable Type: The cross-sectional shape of the cable.
Shielding: Whether or not the device possesses an electrically insulating barrier that helps to reduce or eliminate electromechanical interference, and if so what type of barrier.
Usage: The typical expected usage the manufacturer designed the cable assembly for.
