Hello @tony3,
Thank you for your post.
Here is a link to our closest options based on that description:
All options are not the correct width (0.86” required)
It looks like the cables are too wide for that connector but I don’t believe 0.86” is the total width that we’re looking for in this cable either. It looks like the actual distance we’re looking for is about 0.65” considering the way the IDC terminals are spaced. Something like 19-3754/26300-DS-ND should work. Hi tony3,
I think @chris_groom is on the right track here, but I believe that the 10226-0210EC requires the use of two 0.05" pitch ribbon cables rather than one 0.025" pitch cable. One enters from each side of the IDC mating area.
If you do the math, a single 26 conductor 0.05" pitch ribbon cable would have a width of approximately 1.3" (0.05" x 26cond = 1.3") , which is way too wide for your connector. However, a 13 conductor 0.05" pitch ribbon cable would have a width of approximately 0.65", which is much closer.
Looking at the datasheet for this part, it looks like you got the 0.86" width from the dimension of the snap-in back of the connector.
But the actual cable width would have to be narrower than that, so 0.65" seems about right.
I found the below image here, which makes it pretty clear that there are two sets of IDC contacts on the back side, and it does not look like a 0.025" pitch ribbon cable could pass through from one side to the other without being severed. Therefore, I think it takes two separate cables, one entering from each side.
I am trying to verify this now and will post back when I find more information.
