This is a 220V device and comes with a European IEC plug but can it be safely operated on US 220V? Can it tolerate US 110V?

The user manuals available from the manufacturer’s product page indicate that there are two models designed for different supply voltage norms. Unfortunately they are not “universal” as many modern products are.
The supply specifications allow 15% deviation from nominal values. Operation of the (…)2 model from a 240V source would be within stated limits, though under high-line conditions it would be possible for a violation of this specification to occur.
