Hi there, I have a vintage Kenwood Chef A901 kitchen mixer that has burned capacitors. I have searched on the internet and got the following info:
The Exact Components You Need
Because you have the base A901 model (not the later A901E or A901D, which use slightly different circuitry), you need a specific configuration of components. If you buy them locally in South Africa, ask an electronics shop for: [1]
- 0.15µF (150nF) Capacitor: Must be X2-rated for mains suppression (min 275V AC).
- 0.047µF (47nF) Capacitor: Also X2-rated.
- 56-Ohm Resistor: Uprated to 2-watt or wirewound (helps handle heat better than the original).
- 220-Ohm Resistor: Uprated to 3-watt.
- Triac: Rated for 8A 600V (e.g., a standard BTA08-600)
But I need info please on current type of Capacitors that can be used.
I am trying to do it DIY.
The one capacitor has been burned and I cannot identify it.
See underneath.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
