A transient-voltage-suppression (TVS) diode, also transil or thyrector, is an electronic component used to protect electronics from voltage spikes induced on connected wires. Pre-packaged sets of circuit protection TVS diodes in surface mount and through-hole configurations are for evaluation, demonstration, and experimentation. Kits are available with a number of values and quantities of each value.
SelectionCharacteristics
Kit Type: A general description of the function and contents of the kit.
Quantity: Indicates the number of pieces contained in the kit.
Voltage - Breakdown: Span of “Voltage - Breakdowns” the devices in the kit are rated to. “Voltage - Breakdown” is the minimum voltage required to force a test current of manufacturer-defined amplitude through an over-voltage protection device.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the devices in the kit can be attached.
