We frequently receive questions from customers on what steps are or aren’t recommended for cleaning standard DC to DC converters. Here are some tips we’ve received from XP Power for cleaning parts such as the 1470-1476-5-ND:

Deionizer water is recommended for the cleaning process; do not use tap water.

Do not use the ultrasonic cleaner and soaking method to do the cleaning, it may cause solder split or crack.

Make sure the part is fully dried after cleaning, if it is not, the product might not function normally.
