Connector that is safe unplugged in a washing machine

I’m trying to find some kind connector which can be left unplugged and run through a washing machine. I have some LED’s sewn into clothing. The LEDs are all epoxy sealed and the electronics are removable but currently I would have to find a rubber stopper or something to seal the unconnected 3 conductor plug. I’m worried it would shake lose in a washer. Is there any kind of smallish connector that doesn’t mind being dunked in water with detergent?

Hello Fraser,
Thank you for posting on the TechForum.
These are the waterproof plugs we have available.

They are larger size, so they may not work as well for your application.

Professional designs often use a magnetic connector the likes of which you often find on wearables like fitness trackers, like 303C-C4515-40-02-1

But you’d have to find a way to seal the backside of it, maybe epoxy?

It is intended to connect to US-4P2P-2022008-01

The idea is you have a connector that only has gold unmoving contacts on the water exposed side and the spring loaded contact would be on the external connection.
