Industrial liquid level controllers are used to monitor constant level, high or low level, and leak detection types of sensing. Additional features may include adjustable sensitivity, built-in timers, LED indication, filter alerts, and auto shut off valves. Solid state or mechanical contacts are actuated upon detection with contact form variations of DPDT, DPST, SPDT, and SPST functionality.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.
Voltage - Supply: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
Sensitivity: Indicates the specific resistance value or range of resistance values of liquids the device is designed to be used with.
Features: Special features or functions the device includes.
Distance - Control To Sensor (Max): The total length the conductive path can be between the device and the item taking the reading.
Output Type: Indicates the manner of the implementation of the output.
Contact Form: Describes the contact closures provided by a relay or relay-output device, in terms of the number of independent circuits that are actuated in parallel, the number of contact positions available for each, and their default states.
Contact Rating @ Voltage: Typically this represents the maximum current to which a device’s contacts will meet their given specifications at a given voltage. Exceeding this current may damage the device and/or other system components.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Termination Style: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as cable leads, quick connect, or screw terminals.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
