A programmable logic controller (PLC) module is an industrial digital computer which has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes, such as assembly lines, or robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability control and ease of programming and process fault diagnosis.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.
For Use With/Related Products: Defines other part types, numbers, or series with which this product is designed to be used.
Number of Inputs and Type: Indicates the number of signal input circuits with which a device is equipped, and whether those inputs process applied signals as continuous (analog) or discrete (digital) values.
Number of Outputs and Type: For devices having built-in outputs, indicates the number of such outputs and the manner of their implementation.
Voltage - Supply: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Termination Style: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as screw terminals or USB.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a display or thermistor.
