Could you please provide advice on a suitable clamp for use with connector FDP-308-T.

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum. The connector should have the clamp to press down on the wire, if you’re looking for a strain relief I wasn’t able to find one for this connector.

Please look for a square-jaw (parallel) flat nose pliers. This tool features a linkage to maintain the jaws parallel at all times as opposed to a singular pivot.

Unfortunately, I do not see the tool in DigiKey offerings.
