D-Sub, D-Shaped Connector Contacts are male or female terminals for coaxial, pneumatic, power, signal, or voltage applications that are used with connectors that have a shield or molded base that is in the form of a “D”. The typical wire gauges range from 2 to 36 AWG, and cover a broad range of coaxial cables such as RG174, RG178, RG179, RG180, RG187, RG188, RG196, RG316, RF58, RG141, and RG404.

Type: Indicates the style of the pin in relation to function.
Contact Type: Indicates whether or not the contact is pin or socket.
Contact Form: Indicates how the contact was fabricated.
Wire Gauge: Indicates the wire size or size range with which a product is designed for use.
Contact Termination: Identifies how the contact attaches to the wire, such as crimp or solder.
Contact Material: Indicates the material composition of the contacts.
Contact Finish: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the contacts.
Contact Finish Thickness: Indicates the thickness of the finish/plating material applied to the contacts.
Termination Finish: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the contact’s terminal end.
Termination Finish Thickness: Indicates the thickness of the finish/plating material applied to the contact’s terminal end.
Contact Size: Indicates the physical size of a contact, in terms of the size designation system used for the connector series in question.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as an insulator or high density.
