We bought and used the Epson FA-20H 32.0000MF12Y-W3 but our assembly team added it in our board in such a way that pin 3 is where pin 1 should be. I would like to ask if pin 1 and pin 3 are interchangeable.
As per checking the datasheet, only pin 2 and pin 4 have the same connection (to ground)

After reviewing the datasheet for FA-20H 32.0000MF12Y-W3, it would appear that pin 1 and 3 are interchangeable. I see no indication of a marking for pin 1 on the case, the internal connection makes it appear that they would, and from my understanding crystals are not polarized.
