Fan Cord styles are female receptacle to cable, female receptacle to male plug, and male plug to cable with connector ends being fan terminal plug, fan terminal receptacle/straight/45°/90°, cut end, NEMA 1-15 plug, open wires, and wire end ferrules. The fan cords come with approval marks of CSA, UL, cUL, cURus, and TUV.
SelectionCharacteristics
Style: Indicates the physical form or structure of the cord.
1st Connector: Indicates the style and configuration of the first connector.
2nd Connector: Indicates the style and configuration of the second connector.
Length: The length of the cord, this length may or may not include the connectors. Please consult the individual datasheets.
Fits Terminal Size: Defines the size of terminal the cord is designed for use with.
Number of Conductors: Indicates the number of distinct conductors within the cord.
Cord Type: Indicates the specific type of cord, typically meets a standard.
Wire Gauge: The gauge rating of the cabling used in the cord.
Approval Agency Marking: An indication that the product meets the minimum safety standards of an approving agency. These agencies are either government entities or private third-party labs that protect consumer safety.
Voltage Rating: Typically this represents the maximum voltage rating to which a cord will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this voltage rating may damage the cord and other system components.
Current Rating (Amps): Typically this represents the maximum current to which a cord will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this current may damage the cord and/or other system components.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the cord and other system components.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the cord such as daisy chain or a thermostat.
