Filters that are Active are designed to remove unwanted frequencies and signals from a circuit using passives components and amplifying components. The filter types include Antialiasing, Band Pass, Bessel, Butterworth, Cauer, Continuous Low Pass, Digital, Elliptic Band Pass, FIR, Half Band, Linear Phase, Low Pass, Ripple, SD/ED/HD, Serial I/O, Universal, and Variable with frequency ranging from 2kHz to 6.9GHz.
SelectionCharacteristics
Filter Type: Indicates what kind of signal the filter is designed to block.
Frequency - Cutoff or Center: Indicates the center or range of frequencys the part is designed to filter.
Number of Filters: Indicates the number of filters inside the part.
Filter Order: The number of roots in the denominator of a filter’s transfer function. Affects the “steepness” of a filter’s transition band frequency response.
Voltage - Supply: Indicates the span over which a device’s operational supply voltage may be permitted to vary.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Package / Case: Indicates the type of protective case used on an electronic component to allow easy handling, installation, and protection. This selection was determined to be the closest industry standard applicable to the supplier’s device packaging. Typically it is best to check the actual dimensions from the datasheet rather than depend on this terminology when designing your circuit.
