Thank you for posting as it gave me an idea for a new forum post - link below. While I don’t have the TE2500 resistors in hand, I was able to demonstrate the frequency response using one of my junk box parts.
This little experiment suggests that wire wound resistors are acceptable for audio frequencies. They can also be used for higher frequencies, but we need to mitigate or at least make accommodations for the inductive reactance.
Please accept that article for what it is. It does not specifically address the TE2500 series of resistors which may or may not have the same properties as my old resistor.
Hopefully TE.com can give you a proper answer in the near future as requested via @Rob_Johnson.
