It operates from 1.62V to 5.5V with the AVR core running at up to 20 MHz across the entire supply range, no speed derating as voltage drops. With standby sleep current down to 60 nA, it is well suited for battery-powered designs that need to stay responsive while stretching runtime.
The on-chip Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) supports up to 27 self-capacitance channels with touch capabilities on almost every pin. Driven Shield+ and Boost Mode technologies improve noise immunity, which matters in real-world environments where RF interference or moisture can cause false triggers. No external touch controller IC is needed.
Once your firmware is production-ready, the Program and Debug Interface Disable (PDID) permanently locks the debug interface at the hardware level, no relying on software-based protection.
For automotive HMI work, the AVR LA is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 certified and functional safety ready.
The EV24D63A Curiosity Nano Evaluation Kit supports MPLAB® X IDE, MPLAB Extensions for VS Code, and IAR Embedded Workbench. The included touch library lets you get capacitive touch running quickly alongside low-voltage characterization on the same board.
