Hello,
I’m looking for a male IDC connector like in this picture.
All of the products I have found have plastic protection all around the male pins which renders them unusable for me.
Do you know if this product exists?

These options are geared toward permanent attachment of a ribbon cable to a board, whereas these are more of the sort intended for a pluggable connection. Take a look and see if any might suit your needs.
Additionally, if you want these pre-assembled on a cable, here are some options, which use the connectors Rick mentions assembled on either one end or both ends in various lengths.
