Identify a electronic component

Can you identify this type of component and would DigiKey have a replacement?

Hi Neil,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

I’m sorry I cannot seem to identify what that could be. Do you have any more information on it?

Just what you see in the picture, I just need the single coil pack as the end one has some arching damage.

Could you refer me to someone or a business that could identify it?

Is it possible at all to remove one whole assembly from the board (just one cylinder)? There may be markings underneath the part to indicate the type of part. There are a lot of things it could be. This looks like it’s part of a power supply due to the transformer on the right. On the non-blown ones, can you get any readings off the metal leads if there are any? They could be MOVs, NTC thermistors, or axial capacitors, but this is mostly a shot in the dark.

They look like custom wound inductors produced by, or for, the device manufacturer the 18th week of 2004 (EIA date code 0418).

If that is the case, then it’s a virtual certainty you’ll need to ask the company that made the product.
