Incorrect Part Marking on ESD351DPYR from Texas Instruments

We have had quit a few calls recently from customers who have had this issue. The parts they received have an “A5” marking instead of the “DE” marking referenced in the datasheet. Texas Instruments released the following statement on their forum about the issue.

This is a known issue where some material in the ‘DPY’ package coming out of a certain assembly site was incorrectly marked with A5 instead of the marking seen in the data sheet, and a recent audit has confirmed this. The parts received will match the shipping label sent to Sanmina and performance will not be impacted.

The A/T site has already worked to resolve this error, but the incorrectly marked material may be seen until the affected material makes its way through the system. These are the correct units and performance will not be affected.
