SelectionCharacteristics
Applications: Application is the type of equipment or environment the device will be used in, typically they are tested and rated by a third party to ensure certain minimum standards for the application they are intended for.
Type: The type, style, or nature of the equipment.
Cable Length: The length of the cable, this length may or may not include the connector(s). Please consult the individual datasheets.
Reel Capacity: For devices having a cable or hose reel, the maximum length of a specified cable/hose material expected to fit thereon.
Cable Type: Indicates the cable’s specification or wire AWG/size.
Cable Diameter: Indicates the nominal diameter or diameter range of wire/cable materials with which a product is designed for use.
Voltage: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.
Lamp Wattage: For devices incorporating a lamp fixture, the maximum lamp power the fixture is rated to accommodate.
Current Rating (Amps): This rating indicates the nominal amount of current you would expect the device to draw during normal operation.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as battery powered or in-line transformer.
Approval Agency: An indication that the product meets the minimum safety standards of an approving agency. These agencies are either government entities or private third-party labs that protect consumer safety.
