LED (AP8M-122-G | IDEC) Issues

Good day, DigiKey team!

Last batch, we bought the LED (AP8M-122-G | IDEC). The resistance is 17.5 kΩ.

Now, we bought the LED (AP8M-122-G | IDEC), the resistance is 41.1 MΩ.

Does the IDEC team made any upgrades?

Hello shirong.loo, welcome back to the TechForum! I see no indication that IDEC made any changes to this part. I do not see any product change notifications.

Could you please provide photos showing multimeter readings that indicate these measured values? It also helps if you provide a description of how you hooked up your multimeter for testing. Both of these values sound high for the LED panel light.

Greetings, Kaleb_Kohlhase!

Below, the test report was collected from the tester (Previous batch).

Below, the testing team applied a Multimeter to get the resistance value (Now).

Hello Again Shirong.loo,
Please email Techs@digikey.com with a DigiKey invoice or sales order number.
We will contact the manufacturer and look into this issue for you.

The device in question is LED-based, and as such will have a highly non-linear V-I curve. Resistance measurements on such devices are not appropriate for device evaluation because of high sensitivity to test conditions and the fact that the part is not specified in terms of resistance.

A more suitable test would be to apply the rated supply voltage and verify that the resulting current flow is within specification.

Good day, Rick_1976!

Thanks for your help!

Have a nice day!
