Li-ion cell protection IC, single chip preferred

I’m working on a project using two small li-ion coin cells (Varta CoinPower series). An IC to provide undervoltage lockout is recommended by Varta. There are plenty of options out there, for example the AP9211, AP9234 and AP9101, but these are obsolete. There are also many ICs designed for higher-power applications, e.g BQ2970x, but these all use a pair of external FETs. My projects is very compact (hence the use of these CoinPower cells) and therefore I am trying to reduce parts count, especially because I am using two cells and would therefore have to duplicate the protection circuit.

Does DigiKey stock an IC that will provide undervoltage protection, ideally in a single-IC package? Something that I can hand solder is preferred, e.g SC-70, SOT-23.

Note that charging the cells will be handled by an external charger that is not space-constrained, so I do not need any “charging” type functions in the cell protection IC.

Thank you.

Thank you for contacting DigiKey , the only active in stock options I am seeing that we have to offer is a marketplace part that has to be purchased on line it is a larger package type thank you are looking for though , take a look at part number 2156-UCC3952DP-2-ND and see if this will work for you .

Thanks Craig

Thank you for the suggestion, but that’s just too large. For example, Varta recommends the SGM41100V from SG Micro. From reading the datasheet, this does look like the perfect solution, but it’s very hard to find from a reputable supplier.
