How can I find this switch or a similar one?
Greetings,
I’d approach the task by looking up the limit switch family and applying filters based on observable criteria. One can see that it’s an SPDT switch for example, that it doesn’t have wire leads, current ratings in 10A territory (though that may not all be needed, depending on the application) and so forth.
One the result set has been pared down nicely to exclude known non-matches, I’d then sort by price and start checking datasheets for options that look promising for dimensional compatibility. This is the point where I’d start that process.
Hello @MrK
The switch is marked with the Maximum current ratings and the Maximum voltage ratings for AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current). The limit switch category can be filtered by AC and DC voltage ratings.
Is it possible to find an exact match or a similar one to buy for replacement?
I’ve been unable to find specifications on your original switch doing searches for ST-10 Limit Switch online.
Thanks for your information
Hi, is it possible to confirm if this 2 Limit Switches are equal and if not, explain the difference?
The electrical specs of 5A 125 250V are shown as the same. But we cannot determine the mechanical specs.
The top image has connections from right to left: Common, Normally Open, Normally Closed.
The bottom image has connections from right to left: 1, 3, 2.
With no part marking on the bottom image, we also cannot tell if the dimensions are the same for the body or the electrical connections.
