Luminus SFT-40 Bin Labeling Questions

I’m interested in purchasing some Luminus SFT-40 LEDs (part number SFT-40-W30H-F50-D8302) of a particular chromaticity bin. The datasheet for this part indicates that the packaging from the manufacturer is labeled with the color (chromaticity) bin of the LEDs in that particular reel. I have two questions:

1. For an order containing a number of parts less than would be found in a whole reel, will the Digikey label include the color/chromaticity bin as indicated on the manufacturer’s packaging? (I suspect not)

2. As I see you currently have less than one full reel in stock (by count, at least), would it be possible to inquire as to the color/chromaticity bin of the parts you currently have? Knowing the bin ahead of time would actually be more useful than having it printed on the label of the ordered parts.

Based on the datasheet, I would expect the color/chromaticity bin to be a 3-character code (although the leading “H” may be omitted as it is common) from the following set:

HA3, HB4, HC1, HD2

I’ll also include a screenshot below of the labeling description from the datasheet with the location of the information I’m looking for highlighted in red.

Thanks in advance for any info on this!

Hello loganemakf, and welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

Generally, you would require the full reel to have the binning information. In regard to what we currently have, we are unable to provide part specific details of stock prior to shipment. If there are any special requirements for your order, please include them on the order notes and we will attempt to accommodate.
