I hope this is the correct place to post my question–I am asking about DigiKey item Z13069-ND (OMRON E2E-X8MB212 5M). I am confused about this part’s material.
The product page (E2E-X8MB212 5M Omron Automation and Safety | Industrial Automation and Controls | DigiKey) indicates that the material of construction is stainless steel. However the datasheet (https://assets.omron.com/m/1348e0dec5f4754a/original/E2E-E2EQ-NEXT-Series-DC-3-Wire-Datasheet.pdf) lists the materials as:
- Case: Nickel-plated brass
- Clamping nuts: Nickel-plated brass
- Toothed washers: Zinc-plated iron
I might be misreading the datasheet, but it appears that the information provided by DigiKey (claims stainless steel) contradicts the datasheet (claims nickel plated brass and iron). I need to know whether the actual material of construction is indeed stainless steel or something else. I am interested in material of the sensor body, nuts, lock washer, and any other non-internal components.
