Hi All,
I have an IC marked MC3392DW that is blown. I have the datasheet, but am struggling to find out what could possibly replace it.

Also, regarding this unit, the package type is less important than the functionality as I have a large amount of room to make something fit.
Based on the PDF you provided, the part 497-7182-5-ND would be similar, an NPN 80V darlington.

Hi Michael,
Are you able to give me a couple pointers on how you decided this part could sub in? I am kind of at a loss.
Byron.
Hi ByronT,
Your part behaves like a transistor being used as a low-side switch, except that it has extra protections for over-current, over-voltage, and over-heating. It also has a fault flag output to notify the system that a fault has occurred.
Parts of this type are mostly found in the “Power Distribution Switches, Load Drivers” section. After looking through our offerings, I found the following part to be the most similar in functionality. Physically, it’s quite different, but it has similar current and voltage ratings. Inputs and outputs are the same except that it also requires a supply voltage of between 3.3V and 5V to function.
For comparison, here’s a typical schematic using the VNL5300S5TR-E:

This unit worked as expected when replacing the original. Thank you very much.
Glad it worked for you!
