Memory - Modules

This Product Selection Guide contains information to help select products in the Memory - Modules category on DigiKey.com

Products within the memory module family are solid-state data storage devices with standardized physical module formats for use in common computer equipment, single board computers, and similar devices capable of accepting standardized memory modules. Devices based on both non-volatile (flash, NVRAM) and volatile (SDRAM) memory technologies are included.

SelectionCharacteristics

Memory Type: The specific type or technology of memory used in the module.

Memory Size: The total amount of data storage capacity provided.

Transfer Rate (Mb/s, MT/s, MHz): The speed at which data can be read from or written to the module.

Package / Case: Indicates the type of protective case used on an electronic component to allow easy handling, installation, and protection. This selection was determined to be the closest industry standard applicable to the supplier device packaging. Typically it is best to check the actual dimensions from the datasheet rather than depend on this terminology when designing your circuit.
