Products in the modular embedded processor family integrate a microcontroller, microprocessor, digital signal processor, FPGA, or other such computational device together with support components such as memory, power management, timing, and other items necessary for their operation. They are suitable and intended for integration into an end product, and offer product developers access to modern computational and interface capabilities without the necessity of high-speed hardware design experience.
SelectionCharacteristics
Module/Board Type: Describes the overall configuration and function of the device.
Core Processor: Identifies the microprocessor or processor technology that serves as the primary computational engine for a board or device.
Co-Processor: Identifies an auxiliary/special-purpose computational engine featured on a module.
Speed: Indicate the clock frequency of the device. This directly influences the overall rate computations that can be done on the device.
Flash Size: Describes size and type of non-volatile memories available on the module.
RAM Size: Indicates the amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) with which a device is equipped.
Connector Type: Indicates the type(s) of connections the device incorporates.
Size / Dimension: The physical dimensions of the device.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
