Microsemi FLASHPRO5 Installation Trouble Shooting

This post may help you if there is a problem when connecting to your Microsemi FLASHPRO5.

When using the FlashPRO5 programmer, you can download and install the latest release of FlashPro or FlashPro Express from the Microsemi website.

There is no other configuration or firmware required. If the power LED is on and you are able to select the device in the FlashPro software, it should be ready to use.

If you encounter a problem starting the device, please study the Software/Hardware Installation Guideline.

You may also need to be aware that errors can occur because there is something interfering with the power rail on the target board, so it could help to measure and double-check the voltage on the Vjtag pin.

FlashPRO5 adapter is not recognized by Libero or FlashPro Express tools. Device manager shows it as 4 COM ports. Make Board is properly recognized as FlashPro5 by those tools. What could be a problem ?

Thank you for your answer, it was enough for the solution. When i right click and open the properties of the USB FP5 Serial Converter A there was an option “Load VCP” in the advanced tab. This option was checked only for Converter C. When i checked it for all of them and unplug - reinserted the device, all ports were under Ports (COM & LPT) The FlashPro5 port that i already seen was the UART port. The baud rate however shown as 9600 not 115200. You need to change it to 115200 to communicate…
