Hi,
I was wondering if there is a commercially available mini/micro battery operated vibrating motor available.
I need this for a craft project and I’m a complete novice at electronics etc so I may not have the terminology correct.

What qualifies as ‘small’ depends on your needs, as well as what battery arrangement you’re looking to use. Most anything can ultimately be battery operated, depending on what the desired battery life of the project is. Hopefully this will be a selection that can get you started, and if you know which batteries you’ll be using to power the device or the maximum size constraints the motor must fall under, let us know and we’ll refine this options list for you. The size should be no larger than length 5-8mm and width 3mm.
If this is an insanely silly request please advise me and I’ll forget about the whole idea.

Apologies, unsure why my post from last night doesn’t seem to’ve taken.
Please check these two options out: ERM Vibrator Motors. These are among the smallest motors we have of this style, each rated at 1.3V so they can hopefully be run by a couple of replaceable AA batteries or similar. Might these help?
