Need correct ZIF connector for part #5C02F

I need to find the correct ZIF connector. The part I have has 5C02F on top of it. The connector is backflip and the cable comes straight in horizontally. It solders flat to the board with 17 solder points in the front (plus 2 solder points to secure connector) and 16 on the back. The cable has all the contacts on the top in 2 rows. The connector is about 11.13 mm wide.

It is for a 7" Atomos video monitor for recording HDMI from a camera.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Brad,

Is there a chance to provide a photo? That would help a lot.

The description suggests something like 0.3mm pitch 33-pin FPC, like

Is it even in the same ballpark?

I have been trying to reply to this with a picture. Maybe this will work.

Hello @badbrad97,

I believe I found a possible option. And, the pitch for that connector looks like it might be 0.012" (0.30mm). Please review the Panasonic part AYF333135A and review the dimensions from the datasheet Download : FPC connectors Y3B (0.3mm pitch) Back lock(Catalog) - Panasonic.

Thanks for the quick reply! That one is super close. The one picture I included of the bottom side of the connector was the same connector that was “one row of pins too short” (I put that in the picture description but I think it was still confusing). It had 31 pins instead of 33 that I need. The picture of the board where the connector is placed shows how many pins I need to

have.

You guys are awesome to spend time to help me.
Brad

Hi Brad,

I’d would humbly still suggest the Hirose’s FH35-33S-0.3SHW as if has the two securing pins at the exactly same location as is on your PCB.

I ordered the part you recommended. Hopefully everything works out.

You guys are the best. I really appreciate you taking your time to help me.
Thanks again,
Brad
