I have an induction cooktop that sent out smoke with a bang. The area on the underside of the circuit board that is covered in soot is directly under a capacitor labelled:
IEC 60384-14
R.46 MKP X2 SH
.68 uF 275 Vac
40/110/56 B M TO
It measures:
26.4 mm L
18.2 mm H
9.9 mm W
21.9 mm between the pins
(All measured with vernier caliper, may be slightly inaccurate.) There’s lots of room on the board for a different size if necessary, and if the leads are long and bendable then the spacing is not critical.
I’m a bit mystified by all the possibilities in the catalog and would appreciate some guidance/suggestions. Thanks in advance.
