Hi,
I am a graduate student and having a hard time identifying this connection type. My lab recently bought an arc housing unit, but our old power supply cables don’t fit into the new house. Then we bought cables that fit into the housing unit, but not the power supply. I have contacted oriel and artisan with no luck. We are mostly organic trained, please help!
The power supply model (from oriel) is 68811
The cable numbers are 66055-2-1400 (positive end), 66055-2-1500 (negative end)
The housing model is 66028
I have included pictures as well.
Thank you!
Greetings,
The top two photos look like what’s known as an “LGH” connector, found here as connectors or here as cable assemblies. There’s a few different series (1/2, 1, 2, etc) available so one should probably compare examples in hand against a few datasheets to ascertain which one it is. They’re pretty common in high-voltage work.
Bottom photo looks suspiciously like what we call a “UHF” coaxial connector, more specifically known as an SO-239 (socket) and PL-259 (plug) which would be found here. Again, one should probably check a few datasheets against the example in hand to verify.
The latter is really more of a radio frequency connector, and a creature of a different sort relative to an LGH. I’m probably missing some context, but I normally wouldn’t expect to see the two mixing & matching.
