Help! We bought a headboard from an outlet store with two LED reading lights and it came to us like this… We are trying to figure out what we need to plug things into the wall. I’m not sure if we need a connecter and then a power cord or if there’s something entirely different. Appreciate any support you can provide!
Welcome to the Technical Forum. I would recommend to go back to the outlet store and get a data sheet and instructions. I would say the connections on the power supply should fit the lights. Is there a DigiKey part number for this? This is a technical forum that is DigiKey. We are a distributor for electronic components. This information should be provided to you to be able to install this part. You did not provide an assembly number for the product or part number. I would say you need to go back to who you purchased this from to get instructions for installation. Sorry . I am not able to do this with pictures.
Looks like you might have SMR-02V-B
In which case one of your mating options would be SMP-02V-BC
Crimp Contact Part Number: SHF-001T-0.8BS
Regarding what kind of cord you would need we’d need to know more about the LED Driver and where that wire is going, I’m not able to pull anything up on that LED Driver online.
Given that connector style and USA end user household wiring regulations, I believe that connector is carrying less than 50V in this product.
Thanks so much! It looks like we can get a general AC adapter with a round peg. It’s that we need a connection between the image I sent and the round plug. The one on the store model was QZT-1201500 (image attached). In summary, how do we get the hanging cord plugged into something that can have an AC adaptor plugged into it?
Christineacea,
The easiest way to make a connector between a power supply and the pictured connector, is to cut off the round connector. Then you can attach the mating contacts/connector listed above.
The other want is to find a mating connector to the round plug of the power supply, and make an adapter cable, to the connector in the picture.
