Need replacement LEDs for obsolete holiday light string

Disclaimer: I am not familiar with electronics repair, I’m just out of ideas for how to replace these apparently very particular LEDs.

The only information I have is that it was a Philips light string (I have already tried reaching out to them, but the product is too old). It uses LEDs that project the colored light onto nearby walls. Model number for the string is TOL-60L/2WB-LEG. info tag on the cord says to only replace with 4v LEDs, and light specs on the tag are 120v/60hz 0.046A. Have tried replacing with generic LEDs, brightness difference is extremely noticeable, no projection of color. Tried searching the discrete led indication database here, nothing seems to match.

Would appreciate any help, would very much like to keep these light strings running for many years to come.

Unfortunately we do not have access to know what LED part is needed as a replacement for your string of lights as it is an end consumer product. A replacement LED will probably be similar to the one that you have already tried. Also, within the LEDs there is probably a resistor and is why it calls out replacing with only 4V LEDs.

Ah, that’s too bad. Thank you for the information though, I appreciate it.

A long-shot might to be to look on ebay.
