Hello Matt,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum community.
In addition to what Paul said, I wasn’t able to find many linear transducers in our stock. There are some as market place in the link below if you wonna review to see if any can work for you.
Here are a couple more linear displacement transducers to consider. Unfortunately, use of either would require significant physical and electrical modifications to have a chance to work for you.
- LVE-45-450-R-01-10-S Variable Inductance Linear Transducer 12V ~ 30V supply, 0-10V output, < 0.25% max linearity error, M12 connector
- LVI-45-450-R-01-20-S Variable Inductance Linear Transducer 18V ~ 30V supply, 4-20mA output, < 0.25% max linearity error, M12 connector
Thanks for the update, Iw as just wondering to cross this with new version or different model.

I think most people may have missed that the Honeywell part is a 1.5 foot long (most US stuff was still inches when this was designed), 5k ohm super high precision (0.1%), extremely high cycle life, linear potentiometer.
We used to make them at New England Instruments (now Honeywell) in the 1970s and even back then they sold for many hundreds of dollars in OEM quantities.
Trying to replace it with any modern technology will require a major circuit revision of the product with extra custom designed interface hardware.
