Hi I’m looking for this Orion 180mm PWM 12VDC fan. OD180APL-12HB10A

Hello cbxox2, welcome to the TechForum! It looks like we don’t have this exact part in our catalog at the moment. The closest part in stock is 1053-OD180APL-12HBIP68-ND (OD180APL-12HBIP68). This part does not have a PWM function though. I could not find a cross that is 180mm square that also has PWM control, unfortunately.

Know of anything 175-200mm 6.5" - 7.8" with 12VDC PWM?

I didn’t see any square options, but there are some that are close to that range with other shapes:

If it only goes as low as 10.8V, how noisy is it at minimum speed? Can it operate at 5-7V under PWM control? I’m using this on a computer case replacement of the 200mm stock fan.

Unfortunately, most fan manufacturers don’t really share that kind of detail if speed decreases. I’d assume that it sort of depends on the mechanics of the bearings. Usually a fan’s noise level is “average” across all operating voltages, at least to my understanding. Since the link I provided is a list of parts, you’d have to see if there are more details in the datasheets.

As for PWM limits, that highly depends on the PWM driver built in to the fan. Most datasheets list some kind of specification on what the absolute lowest PWM voltage is before it stalls out. For example, 1053-1793-ND has a PWM limit of 2.7V (RMS).
