Part identification

Can anyone please help me find this part?

Do you have any other photos of this part? What is the pitch (center-to-center) spacing of the connector?

Here’s the other part of the connector.

I believe the connector is WM5982-ND. And, the crimp contacts are here.

Wow this looks to be correct. Thank you so much Jeff. Quick question, the link for the crimps has two different options. Do I need both or what’s the deal with that?

There are 2 different packaging methods.

Will this tool work for me?

I don’t think this tool is gets small enough to crimp these little guys.

I would recommend using the manufacturer’s recommended tool WM9027-ND. I can’t tell if the tool you have using a larger AWG wire in the contact would provide a quality crimp.

I agree with you $400+ is crazy expensive

For non-pro use you could try your current Knoweasy crimper. It may work well. Or alternatively get a hobby-grade specially for small crimp contacts.

Note that the web site claims that the item weight is 37kg, which is with a reasonable probability a bit off.
Cheers, heke

Hi Jeff I was curious if you had the other end of the JST connector? Here’s a picture of it.

Hello jsmiles930,

I believe the board mounted connector is WM18921-ND.
The picture is just a representation. To see the actual connector, Click on the 360° view.
This is a 3pos connector, and will mate to the WM5982-ND connector.

Wow that’s it! Thank you so very much David.

You’re welcome.

Hi jsmiles930

As an additional option, we also sell jumper wires for the Molex Sherlock series with the contacts already crimped on, thus alleviating the need to crimp them yourself. They come in multiple length and color options, as seen in the link below:

I actually purchased them last week just in case I couldn’t crimp them myself. I really appreciate all the help and I will definitely reach out next time I need a hand or have a question.
