400V 5000uF
Originally a Funuc capacitor but they are saying they do not have it.
Thank you

Hello,
Welcome to the Tech Forum !
I was able to locate some close in stock options that would be good alternates for that capacitor. Please follow the link to view these items on our website.
Thank you
Ryan
I could not find any data on your part for comparison, but here is a larger selection of capacitors rated for at least 400V and near the same capacitance.
Within this group, one can narrow down for parts that will physically fit in your application.
Then you can filter for “Lifetime @ Temperature”, noting that parts rated for 105°C will typically last 4x longer than stated time if run at 85°C. Then you can filter for “Ripple Current”, with higher values allowing for higher current to pass without incurring damage.
In most applications, selecting a capacitor with same or higher capacitance is preferable, but in high capacitance applications such as this, a part with slightly lower capacitance but higher ripple current ratings may be just as good or better. This may or may not be the case in your particular application.
Thank you, I will review.
Thank you so much for your time David.
My maintenance engineer is going to send the whole board back for repair to Fanuc which will be very expensive and my machine will be down for days. He’s concerned that it’s not Fanuc Capacitor.
That’s understandable, particularly if there are warranties involved. Good luck to you!
