PC pin terminals or single post connectors are male gendered, single conductor devices, typically used on circuit boards. They are defined by the terminal type (double end, flanged, pc pin, single post), their terminal style (double end, flanged, pin retention, single end, smooth, wire), and their pin diameter or mounting hole diameter. Other parameters include overall length, mounting type (board edge, free-hanging, press fit, surface mount, through-hole), termination, etc.

Terminal Type: A general description of the connector.
Terminal Style: Describes a terminal’s shape or form factor.
Pin Size - Above Flange: Indicates the diameter or dimensions of the pin above the flange.
Pin Size - Below Flange: Indicates the diameter or dimensions of the pin below the flange.
Length - Above Flange: Indicates the length of the pin above the flange.
Length - Below Flange: Indicates the length of the pin below the flange.
Length - Overall: Indicates the overall length of the device.
Flange Diameter: The diameter of a geometric feature designed to prevent a product from passing completely through a properly sized mounting hole. Often the largest diametric dimension of a product.
Mounting Hole Diameter: Indicates the size of the hole used to mount the device.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Termination: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as crimp or solder.
Insulation: Indicates if the item has insulation.
Board Thickness: Indicates the nominal thickness of circuit boards to which a product is designed to be directly attached.
Contact Material: Indicates the material composition of the contact.
Contact Finish: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the contact.
Contact Finish Thickness: Indicates the thickness of the finish/plating material applied to the contact.
