Wire pin terminals are solderless connectors that are used to make quick and reliable electrical contact to replace bare wire in set screw or clamp connections. These single conductor connectors are available fully insulated or non-insulated and come in a variety of wire gauges. The color of the insulation signifies the wire gauge accepted. They can be circular with a wide variety of pin diameters and lengths, or rectangular with a variety of sizes.
SelectionCharacteristics
Pin Diameter: The physical dimensions of the mating portion of the pin. Typically listed as diameter or length X width.
Length - Pin: Indicates the length of the narrow, non-insulated portion of a pin terminal.
Length - Overall: Indicates the overall length of the device.
Wire Gauge: The wire size or size range with which a product is designed for use, typically expressed in terms of AWG (American Wire Gauge).
Insulation Diameter: The diameter of the insulation on the wire that the connector is designed for use with.
Insulation: Indicates if the item has insulation and to what extent.
Termination: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as crimp.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a brazed seam or serrated termination.
Color: The dominant color of the device.
