Placement of the sensor in a tube/sensor partially not in contact with air

If I mount this device in a tube, I am trying to mount it with the back side of the sensor (according to the diagram) inside the tube. Only the sensor (top view, per diagram) face-up would be in contact with the air. Will there be any performance issues measuring temperature and humidity?

Welcome to the TechForum !

I think your tube mounted device will work as well and be as accurate as any other way of using this sensor. The case itself is more to protect the sensor and the measuring will be done using the information through the whole body so this should work very well.
