According to the manufacturer’s obsolescence notice linked under “Documents and Media” on the product page, the FAN2012MPX has been obsolete and out of production for approximately 3 years.
Any remaining DigiKey inventory was procured directly from the manufacturer prior to the manufacturer’s last shipment date and is guaranteed to be genuine material.
