What Ripple current the old non polar caps are
Ripple current frequency is a test that manufacturers run to find out a typical range of expected “noise” on rectifying circuits. Think of it as the speed of the ripple without extra help from diodes and smoothing circuits to make the DC level more stable. Unfortunately, most capacitors aren’t marked with this data. You have to know the part number to find out what the ripple current tests are. However, there is a calculation for this. I found an article written by Vishay that should help, click HERE.
