Potentiometer Identification

Need help identifying a replacement potentiometer that clicks when pressed down. Sifted through the website but didn’t see one with the correct pins.

Thanks in advance.

The part could be a potentiometer or it could be an rotary encoder. We will need part marking information to be able to identify the correct part number, if possible.

Hi EEICT,

I’m pretty sure that @Steven_14444 is on the right track with the rotary encoder thought. It looks to me like the Bourns PEC11S series.

Note: The image we provide on our website and above is of a very short-shafted version of the part. The two part numbers listed below have longer shafts, as indicated in the drawings below.)

Based on your images, it’s likely one of these two, depending on the length of the shaft:

PEC11S-9215K-S0015 15mm shaft length
PEC11S-9220K-S0015 20mm shaft length

From the datasheet, we find the following information:

Note the dimensions for “L1”. Measure that dimension on your part to determine the correct part number.

Thank you! Much appreciated.

Thank you so much. Think we’ve got it!

No problem. I just saw one more possible option:

PEC11S-9213K-S0015 13.5mm shaft

Again, the drawing is a little deceptive, as the knurled shaft is larger than the drawing appears. Note the actual measurements of L1 and L2. It’s most likely one of the other parts previously listed, but thought I’d point this one out just in case they are a little long.
