I have a projector with a 12V DC trigger output for controlling an in-ceiling lift. However, the lift lacks a 12V trigger input and is controlled by two 120VAC relays for raising and lowering. To automate the lift with the projector, I want to replace the wall controller with a relay that converts a 12V DC signal to 120VAC control for the existing relays.
Can you recommend a suitable relay from DigiKey that accepts 12V DC input and switches 120VAC for this application?
Greetings,
Please see this link for in-stock relays having a 12VDC coil and form factors that don’t require a printed circuit board.
Unfortunately, the business of determining if any given example is suitable for your purposes is a matter that’s up to you. You’ll want to pick an appropriate contact form and relay type to get the desired function, verify that the coil is capable of being driven properly by the signal in question, verify that the load being driven is within rated limits for the chosen device, and plan for an installation that’s compliant with applicable codes/regulations among other things.
